    Jordan replies with a price and the next open install dates. Early bookings get first pick.

    Install and test

    We hang the lights, set the timer and test every string before we leave. If a string quits during the season, text Jordan and a return visit is arranged.

    Takedown, if requested

    If takedown was part of your quote, we come back between January and March and take everything down.

Questions Winnipeg customers ask

How much does Christmas light installation cost in Winnipeg?

The price depends on roofline length, storeys, trees and whose lights are used. Jet Set quotes each house from a photo and the address, usually within a few hours. See the Christmas light cost guide for what moves the price.

When should I book Christmas lights in Winnipeg?

Book in October or early November. The ground freezes and the lasting snow arrives around mid-November in most years, and the earliest install dates fill first. Jet Set installs into December when the weather allows.

Do you supply the lights or use mine?

Both. Jet Set installs LED strings you already own, or supplies new commercial-grade LED strings. We also install Govee permanent outdoor lighting. Tell us which you want when you ask for a quote.

Do you take the lights down too?

Takedown is a separate service. Ask for it with the install so it is in the quote, or book it on its own. It runs January to March, and we coil and label the strings for you to store.

Can you put lights on my trees?

Yes. Trunk wraps, canopy drapes and lit evergreens are all common installs. Very tall trees are quoted after we see them, and we tell you in advance if one is beyond safe ladder and pole reach.

What if a string stops working in December?

Text Jordan with a photo. A return visit is arranged, and whether it is covered depends on what failed and whose lights they are, which Jordan confirms before coming out.

Do you do Christmas lights for businesses and condos?

Yes. Storefronts, restaurant patios, condo and apartment entrances and property-managed buildings, scheduled around your hours. See the commercial Christmas lights page.

How long does the install take?

Most bungalows and two-storey homes are done in a few hours. Large homes, tall trees and full-yard displays can take a day, and we tell you when we quote.

Will the lights damage my roof, shingles or eavestroughs?

No. Strings are held with clips on the shingle edge or gutter lip, and Govee pucks fix under the eave with the clips and adhesive in the kit. Nothing is nailed, stapled or screwed into the house.

Do I need to be home for the install?

No, as long as the outdoor outlet is working and reachable and we know where you want the lights. Most installs are done from the outside with nobody home.

Can I choose the colours and the design?

Yes. Warm white, cool white, multicolour, red and green, or a theme of your own. Send a photo and say what you have in mind; Jordan suggests a layout with the quote.

Do the lights go around the sides of the house?

Most installs light the front roofline, since that is what the street sees. If you want it to look like the lights continue around the house, Jordan's crew carries the roofline about 2 to 3 feet around each front corner, so from the street the display reads as wrapping the whole home. Lighting a full side or the back is a separate line on the quote, so say so when you send the photo.

Can I leave the lights up all year?

Seasonal strings should come down in the new year. If you want lights that stay up, Govee permanent lights are the answer: a run of LED pucks under the eave you control from the app. See the Govee page.

Can I control the lights from my phone?

With Govee permanent lights, yes: colours, scenes, timers and schedules from the Govee app. Seasonal strings run on a timer we set for dusk.

Do you need an outdoor outlet?

Yes. The lights plug into a standard outdoor outlet, which needs to be working and within reach. The outlet and wiring are yours to supply; Jet Set does not do electrical work.
