Takedown
Christmas Light Removal and Takedown in Winnipeg
Jet Set takes Christmas lights down across Winnipeg from January to March, whether we installed them or someone else did. We unclip the roofline, unwrap the trees, coil and label every string, and either hand them back or store them until next season. Takedown is included when you book an install with us; it is also a stand-alone service for lights you hung yourself and do not want to climb for in January. Send the address and Jordan replies with a price within a few hours.
Starting from $149
What takedown includes
Roofline and peaks
Every clip comes off the shingle edge and gutter lip. Nothing is left in the eavestroughs to block the spring melt.
Trees, railings and frames
Wraps unwound without snapping frozen branches, railings and window frames unclipped.
Coiled, labelled, tested
Each string is coiled and labelled by location, and we note any that failed so they are replaced before next year.
Storage
We can store your strings between seasons so next fall is a one-text booking.

Installed my govee lights and did a great job. They tidied up after themselves you would never have known they were there
They did a great job on our windows and installation of our Christmas lights! Very easy to deal with. We will definitely use them again.
Thank you so much Jordan, Alex, and Frank for helping me complete this project! I was especially impressed with how prompt and accommodating you made the whole process. Highly recommend!
Why January takedown matters in Winnipeg
Winnipeg roofs carry snow from November to March, and the eavestroughs fill with ice. Clips left in the gutter lip through the melt can hold back meltwater and add to ice dams at the eaves. Branches wrapped tight through a winter of minus thirty nights snap more easily in spring. Taking the lights down in January or February, on a day above about minus fifteen when the shingles are not brittle, avoids both. We book takedown dates when we install, so nothing waits until the spring thaw.
What it costs in Winnipeg
Every quote is for your property, so the price moves with:
- Roofline length and storeys
- Number of trees and how densely they are wrapped
- Whether we installed the lights (takedown is quoted with the install)
- Storage until next season, or hand-back
Send the address and our team strives to reply with a price within hours, not days. Request a quote or text a photo to (204) 990-7790.

Questions Winnipeg customers ask
Will you take down lights that another company installed?
Yes. Jet Set removes Christmas lights regardless of who installed them. Send a photo so we can see the clip type and the trees.
When is takedown done?
January to March, on days when the roof is safe to work on. Takedown dates are booked at install time when Jet Set did the install.
Is takedown included in the install price?
When you book an install with Jet Set, takedown is quoted with it so there are no surprises. Stand-alone takedown is priced on its own.
Can you store the lights?
Yes. Strings are coiled, labelled and stored until next season so the next install is a quick booking.
